ABOUT
BEARS LA
Bears LA is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and celebrating the bear community throughout Greater Los Angeles. We create opportunities for people to connect, build lasting friendships, and feel a genuine sense of belonging while making a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Through social events, charitable fundraising, and community involvement, we're building a stronger community, one gathering at a time.
WHO WE ARE:
At our core, Bears LA is a community of bears, cubs, otters, admirers, and friends who believe everyone deserves a place to feel welcome. Whether you're attending your first event or have been part of the bear community for decades, you'll find an inclusive environment where authenticity is celebrated, new friendships are encouraged, and everyone has a chance to get involved.
We're powered entirely by volunteers who are passionate about creating memorable experiences and giving back to the community that has given so much to us.
WHAT WE DO:
Bears LA hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including casual meetups, bar nights, pool parties, holiday celebrations, title competitions, and other unique experiences that bring people together.
While our events are designed to be fun and welcoming, they also serve a greater purpose.
As a nonprofit organization, proceeds from our memberships, events, and fundraising efforts help support local LGBTQ+ charities, community organizations, and fellow clubs. Every event is an opportunity not only to strengthen our own community, but also to invest in the organizations and causes that help our broader community thrive.
